Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1.5 years required License: Must hold a valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: MEDITECH experience is required. Travel experience is required. Charge experience is preferred. Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Experience with central line care and management. Skills in administering continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors. Experience managing CPAP and BiPAP. Competence in interpreting arterial blood gases (ABGs). Familiarity with ventilated patients, isolation precautions, and triage. Description: This is a 6-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room. The shift schedule is three 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. Every other weekend is required. The patient ratio is 1:4 during the day shift. The facility has a total daily census of approximately 90 patients with an average of 92 visits per day. The department treats a wide range of diagnoses, including strokes, chest pain, and trauma. Physicians are available in the department 24/7. Nursing staff will assist with procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and central line placements. Candidates must have the ability to administer TNK and manage various critical drips. Experience in a variety of patient age groups is preferred, including neonates through geriatrics. Candidates should also be proficient in teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration. No previous employees of this facility will be considered for this role.
