Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Holding Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred, 2 years preferred. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience, patient ratio experience of 1:4, charting system experience preferred. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room Holding setting. The role requires managing patients with an IMC level of care. The nurse will be responsible for providing care in a rapid admit unit. Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs. The schedule will consist of three 12-hour night shifts, specifically from Tuesday to Thursday. Nurses will work with a patient ratio of 1:4. Candidates with previous travel nursing experience are welcome to apply. Additional responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry, central line care, and administration of blood products. Experience with non-invasive airway management and IV maintenance is preferred. The daily patient census is approximately 12, with a total of 8 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services. The nurse will be expected to perform wound care and care for patients undergoing various medical procedures. Successful candidates will be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases is essential for this role. Ensuring patient safety and adhering to isolation precautions will also be part of the responsibilities. Candidates must be committed to providing high-quality patient care during their shifts.
