Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, CPI Must-Have: 5+ years of experience Experience with at least 1 travel assignment MEDITECH experience required Description: 75-mile radius rule applies. The driver's license address must be submitted for consideration. Patients seen per day range from 180-200. Common diagnoses include pediatric to geriatric patients. Trauma cases are treated on-site, with some trauma patients transferred out. Neuro patients are admitted, but many are shipped out. Ortho cases are kept and some are transported. No burn patients are handled in this facility. This location is a certified CVA center. Nurses will perform their own lab draws and start IVs. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 and dedicated to the emergency room. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. Charge nurses and nursing aides will be present on each shift. Weekend and holiday work is required on a rotating basis. Additional instructions will be provided for call-out procedures. Completion of orientation during the first week is expected. Only Caribbean blue scrubs are permitted for work. The emergency room has a behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric personnel. Security and patient sitters will be available in the main emergency room. Monitoring technicians will oversee central monitoring. Flexible schedules may include nurse practitioners or physician assistants during various shifts. All staff are expected to adhere to organizational policies and guidelines.
