Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Triage and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergent conditions.
- Initiate emergency interventions and stabilize patients quickly.
- Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Operate and monitor emergency equipment, including cardiac monitors and defibrillators.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, EMS personnel, and ancillary departments.
- Accurately document assessments, treatments, and patient progress.
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active Texas RN license (or compact eligible).
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
- Minimum 2 years' recent experience in a busy ED setting.
- Strong clinical judgment, multitasking ability, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-stress environments.
