Description:
Position available for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
This is a busy urban trauma center.
The role includes the provision of direct patient care activities for all age groups.
Responsibilities involve assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
The position requires monitoring and coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort.
The nurse will function within the scope of nursing preparation consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice.
Demonstrated skill in human relations and communications is required.
Clinical expertise in the area of responsibility is essential.
Stand and walk most of the time on duty.
Lift and push patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs.
Physical demands may include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, kneeling, and crawling minimally.
This position involves working in a clean, air-conditioned area.
Patient satisfaction and safety are top priorities.
