Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience preferred; Level 1 Trauma experience strongly recommended. License: Valid Michigan RN License required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC Must-Have: ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI are preferred certifications and experience. Description: Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC. A minimum of 2 years of recent emergency room experience is strongly recommended. The nurse will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as needed by the unit. There is no call requirement for this position. The nurse must be clocked in and ready for report at the start of the shift. Floating is not required. Daily patient care will include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The unit will have a daily census of approximately 260 patients. Patient ratios are 5 to 1 during day and night shifts, as well as on weekends. All lab work is expected to be scheduled with an ETA within 48-72 hours of signing. Locals are accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions. Background checks will be conducted, and if there are any hits, this must be noted on the profile. Proof of flu vaccination is required for submission. If seeking vaccination exemption, it must be submitted promptly after contract signing. Modules are non-billable and completed during orientation as well as annually. References will be required for consideration.
