License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS). Must-Have: Strong communication, prioritization, and critical thinking skills. Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for individuals presenting with a range of medical conditions. The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe and compassionate care. The RN performs comprehensive patient assessments and triage according to department protocols. The RN initiates and manages nursing interventions for critically ill and injured patients. The RN administers medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately. The RN monitors patient condition and responds appropriately to changes in clinical status. The RN assists with emergency procedures, trauma resuscitations, and cardiac emergencies. The RN utilizes critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity situations. The RN maintains accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation. The RN educates patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. The RN collaborates effectively with various healthcare personnel. The RN adheres to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection prevention guidelines. The RN participates in quality improvement initiatives and departmental education activities.
