General Information
Unit Specifics:- Number of Beds : 101
- Patient Ratios : 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
- Unit staffing description- Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights
- Type of equipment : baxter pumps, GE monitors
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, can’t commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.
- Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
- Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit
Hospital Specifics-- Certifications: ACLS before starting dateon hire
- BLS before starting dateon hire
- PALS before starting date on hire
- TNCC before starting date on hire
- CPI before starting dateon hire
- NIHSS before starting dateon hire
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Hiring profile- Requested Skill Set: 2 years’ experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume > 100,000 visit ED. Previous HCA experience preferred.
- Must have: 2 years’ experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time. Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
