Description:
Registered Nurses will work in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department.
The role requires flexibility with scheduling.
Candidates must be aware of a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
Nurses will provide care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 120 patients.
The unit features 31 rooms and 40 beds.
Nurses will be responsible for blood product administration, central line care, and management.
Other responsibilities include starting IVs, phlebotomy, and procedural sedation administration.
Nurses must be able to manage ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases.
Triage experience is essential.
Staffing ratios are maintained at 1 nurse to 5 patients.
Nurses may be required to float to other units as needed.
Weekend shifts will require working at least 8 shifts per contract.
Compliance deadlines for required documentation will be set and must be adhered to.
Candidates should have proven skills in managing critical patient conditions.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
All candidates must successfully pass a compliance EKG exam with a maximum of two attempts allowed.
