Job Title: Clinical Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ Years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider Certification Must-Have: 2+ years of Emergency Department experience Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reports to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Uses patient education materials relevant to the patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, or caregivers. Evaluates developmental levels of patients and factors affecting the ability to learn. Identifies expected patient outcomes. Seeks guidance as needed in revision of the plan of care. Participates in discussions with members of the interdisciplinary team in evaluating patient care.
