Description: The emergency department has 50 beds and a staff of 68. The staffing includes 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/Medics on the day shift. Mid-shift staffing consists of 8-10 RNs. Night shift staffing includes 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/Medics. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:4 or 1:5, but are never guaranteed. The unit is equipped with EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose monitors. The EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess skills in travel nursing and be familiar with emergency department procedures. Preferred qualifications include level 1 trauma experience and stroke experience.
