Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 20 Weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Georgia or Compact nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI*, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC*, ENPC* Must-Have: - Experience in providing care for ventilated patients. - Competence in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias. - Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Description: The emergency room unit seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for a mid shift. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. The unit accepts first-time travelers. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. There are no call responsibilities. Floating may be necessary within the facility and within the scope of practice. The selection process includes a clinical review to ensure a fit for the unit. Compliance with orientation requirements is essential to start on time. The nurse will care for a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census averages around 250 visits. Interdisciplinary support is available including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Major diagnoses include challenges like CHF and STEMI. The unit is recognized as a level 3 trauma center and a primary stroke center. No required call means more predictable scheduling for the staff. Candidates should be prepared to work during major holidays as needed. RTO must be finalized at the time of submission. All compliance documents are due before the start date.
