- Procedural sedation administration and monitoring experience
- Triage experience
Description:
Minimum experience required is 2 years.
Unit accepts first-time travelers.
Work every other weekend.
No on-call responsibilities.
Floating within facility/scope of practice may be needed.
Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit.
If the candidate passes clinical evaluation and meets guidelines, they will be sent to the manager for the final decision.
Requests for time off can be a maximum of 7 days.
If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays.
If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
If not compliant in time, there will be a push back of 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
Number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by contract length.
Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census is approximately 250 patients with 59 rooms and beds available.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
Patient diagnoses may include telemetry competency exam requirements.
This unit is a level 3 trauma center in progress, focusing on primary stroke, congestive heart failure, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and chest pain center.
Special equipment available includes Arctic Sun.
