Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00-07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Department License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC preferred Must-Have: Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments. Must have 2-3 years of Emergency Room experience. Description: The Emergency Department has 27 beds and a staff of 50 RNs and 25 Medics. During the day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics. The team increases by 4-5 RNs at 11 AM and by 1-2 RNs at 3 PM. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics. Patient ratios are 4-6:1. The unit uses EMR - Meditech for documentation. Candidates with experience in high acuity ERs and fast-paced environments are preferred. Experience with patient ratios of 5:1 is also desirable. Typical procedures performed include RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psych patients, and transfers to other facilities as per EMTALA. The ideal candidate will have a relaxed, easy-going demeanor and be team-oriented and respectful. There is no on-call requirement. Weekends consist of four weekend shifts within a four-week scheduling period.
