Description:
The Emergency Department has 12 beds.
There are 25 staff members on the unit.
Typical Day Shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 1 technician.
The clinical coordinator covers from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Night Shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 1 RN after 1:00 AM.
The clinical coordinator covers from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
The patient ratio is 4:1 unless in a lower acuity area.
Equipment includes Glidescope, bedside ultrasound, EV1000, and a trauma room.
The EMR system used is Meditech.
Candidates should have experience in triaging and stabilizing patients.
The unit occasionally sees trauma patients and a sick elderly population.
There may also be care for occasional sick pediatric patients.
An ideal candidate should be driven, fast-paced, and outgoing.
Tattoos must not exceed 50% of the exposed area.
Hair color must be natural.
Staff is required to work rotating weekends.
Call may be flexed off for departmental needs.
