Description:
HARD STOP - REDIRECT FOR NO TRAVEL EXPERIENCE and/or NO EPIC EXPERIENCE.
The Emergency Room is large and busy.
Travel experience is required; candidates must have at least 3 completed travel contracts in an Emergency Room.
Screen candidates with only 1-2 completed travel assignments.
Patients served range from adolescents to geriatrics.
Full compliance is required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a push-back of 2 weeks due to orientation schedules.
Candidates will undergo clinical screens to determine fit, and if they pass, they will be sent for managerial review.
Locations accept local candidates at the same rate.
Candidates must have experience with the Epic charting system.
If a major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it.
Travelers may also be required to work weekends and occasional floating within their scope of practice.
General Emergency Department details:
The department has a high acuity with a patient ratio of 1:4.
The average daily patient volume is 165-175.
Routine skills and experiences expected include airway management, IV management, trauma response, and emergency medications.
Specific procedures and care management skills are required.
Candidates should be knowledgeable in handling a wide variety of medical emergencies.
