The role requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals. Acceptable hours per week include 36 or 48. Holidays are required. Every other weekend is mandatory. The Emergency Department offers comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups. The team is staffed 24/7 by a highly trained group to meet community needs. The ED team consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff. The Emergency Department treats over 60,000 patients annually. The nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:1 for critical and trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients. An associate degree in nursing is required. Two years of experience is required; however, 18 months of experience may be considered if working under the highest level of professional license. 1 year of recent experience in the specialty area is essential. This role is patient-facing and clinical. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Scrub color/dress code is solid navy.
