License: Registered Nurse license (State or Compact license; no temporary licenses accepted) Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, OR Red Cross NIH, TNCC, SECURE on site Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. Description: We are seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The role requires flexibility to float to other units and hospitals. Candidates must be open to working 36 or 48 hours per week. Holidays are required as part of the position, along with every other weekend work. Our Emergency Departments provide comprehensive emergency medical services to all age groups. They are staffed 24/7 by a highly trained team to meet community needs. The Emergency Department team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff. The Emergency Department is a 54-bed state-designated Level III Trauma Center and a Level II Stroke Center. This department treats more than 60,000 patients annually. The nurse-to-patient ratio varies, ranging from 1:1 for critical and trauma patients to 1:3-4 for other patients. A minimum of an associate degree in nursing is required for this position. Candidates should have two years of experience; however, 18 months of experience will be considered if working under the highest level of professional license, along with one year of recent specialty experience.
