Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM.
The nurse will work based on patient acuity.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Floating within the scope to meet facility needs will be necessary.
First-time travelers with emergency room experience will be considered.
Additional certifications such as CPI and TNCC are preferred.
The facility experiences a daily patient census of approximately 130 visits.
Patient populations include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
The role involves managing a variety of emergency situations and patient conditions.
Daily responsibilities may include triage, administering medications, and performing assessments.
Collaboration with interdisciplinary support services such as physical therapy and pharmacy is expected.
The staff works together to provide optimal patient care under high-stress situations.
Travelers should be prepared to respond to emergencies, especially during the hurricane season, which runs from June through November.
All employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period.
