Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Georgia or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM Must-Have: Previous charge experience Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 Charting system experience preferred Description: Unit details: Weekend shifts: Every other weekend required. Call: None. Floating: Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed. Full compliance required to start on time. If not compliant in time, a push back of two weeks is expected due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. Local candidates accepted at the same rate. Number of non-billable orientation hours determined by contract length. Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census and number of visits per day vary. The unit consists of 43 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Special procedures or unit guidelines state that the unit does not accept travel pairs. Travel compliance is mandatory. All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission. Holiday work is expected if major holidays fall during the assignment period. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Core onboarding items and labs must be completed within a specified time frame after contract signing. All compliance documents are due by a set deadline prior to the start date. Modules are non-billable and are completed during orientation. Requirements for certifications and experience are essential for this role.
