Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45-19:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency department setting License: RN license required Certifications: - ACLS before start date - BLS before start date - PALS before start date - TNCC before start date - CPI before start date - NIHSS before start date - ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - 2 years of experience as a nurse with at least 1 year of experience in an emergency department setting - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and give feedback in real time - Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The emergency department serves as a referral center and includes a Level II trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center. The department is known for its teamwork and welcoming atmosphere. It serves a diverse community with over 120 languages spoken in the area. A high-volume environment with approximately 100,000 visits annually. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 for medical cases, and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Unit staffing includes available technicians for various functions including cardiac monitoring and triage. Nurses will work with advanced equipment including pumps and monitors. All staff are expected to maintain respectful behavior and prioritize patient experience.
