Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years License: RN License Certifications: - ACLS before starting date - BLS before starting date - PALS before starting date - TNCC before starting date - CPI before starting date - NIHSS before starting date - ENPC within 90 days of hire Must-Have: - 2 years experience as a nurse with at least 1 year in an ER setting - Teamwork mentality - Ability to coach and give feedback in real time - Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department Description: This position is for a registered nurse in the emergency department. The unit typically has a patient ratio of 4:1 for medical cases and up to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Techs are available to assist and work in cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas. Documentation will be done using Cerner. Scheduling requires every other weekend and must align with department needs. There is no floating outside of the emergency department, but candidates must be open to floating within all sections of the department. Patient experience standards include AIDET and maintaining respectful behavior throughout each patient interaction. Advanced skills are required for various procedures performed on the unit. The department emphasizes a culture of teamwork and a welcoming atmosphere. We serve a diverse community, reflecting over 120 languages in the area. Candidates are encouraged to bring new equipment and technology experience to enhance our department. Attendance policies will be provided on the first day of work.
