They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality and safe patient care. This role is supported by Nurse Managers and other leaders and follows a governance model. The RN will uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act. As a member of the patient services team, the RN will advocate for the patient and follow system policies while supporting service excellence goals. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: The RN will perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Care will be individualized based on evidence-based practices, utilizing analytical and critical thinking skills. The RN will provide relationship-based patient-centered care consistent with specific population characteristics. They will partner with patients and significant others, ensuring communication of goals and updates throughout the care process. The RN will coordinate safe, quality patient care through interdisciplinary methods and timely documentation. Demonstrating teamwork and collaboration, the RN will promote an inclusive environment and support performance improvement initiatives. The RN will complete all required competency assessments and serve as a mentor for less experienced nurses and staff. Participation in evidence-based practice and nursing research will be expected to improve patient care outcomes. The RN will proactively plan for patient care, participate in protocol development, and ensure efficient resource use. The RN will comply with all relevant policies and clinical competencies as per organizational and professional standards. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
