There are 134 staff members working in the department. On day shift, there is 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 technician, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod. On night shift, the staffing is the same. The patient ratio is an average of 3:1, with low acuity at 5:1. Pediatric cases are managed through team nursing. The unit uses Alaris for medication administration. The EMR system in use is Meditech/CPN. Typical procedures performed in the unit include: - IV starts - Medication administration - Sedations - Pediatric care Candidates should possess a good understanding of patient experience. The ideal candidate will be able to keep up with the fast pace of the emergency department. Diversity and the ability to learn quickly are valued traits in our staff. We have a younger workforce and expect candidates to handle responsibilities independently. Candidates with experience in larger facilities will be considered favorably. Knowledge of the Meditech system is preferred. We also prioritize experience and characteristics related to maintaining a fast pace in the work environment.
