Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years in Emergency Department License: Active RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. Active Texas RN License; temporary license will not be accepted. Description: The emergency department has 23 beds. Patient ratios are 4:1. Nurses are all registered nurses, with technicians at the lobby and a secretary in place. Standard emergency department procedures are performed. The department is a Level IV trauma center and a primary stroke center. It is also accredited for chest pain with PCI and STEMI 24/7. Documentation system used is Meditech. Floating policy applies as needed. Candidates will be required to meet dress code standards. Scrub color for registered nurses is royal blue. Nail policy requires clean and healthy nails with no artificial enhancements. Hair should be neat and clean; extreme styles or colors are not permitted. Facial hair should be clean and neatly trimmed. Tattoos and body art must be covered whenever possible. Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibited. Shoes must be constructed of a non-absorbent material with slip-resistant soles. Breathable mesh athletic shoes with leather or man-made uppers are not permitted. The company-wide attendance policy will be enforced.
