Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Part-Time)

Location: Geneva, NY

Pay: $1,539.60 weekly

Shifts: D/N/W/Holiday rotation - PART TIME (2x12s) + 2 on call shifts in 4 weeks

Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a part-time travel assignment in Geneva, NY. This role is best suited for an RN who can apply their nursing theory and technical skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will join a team focused on delivering compassionate care and will play a vital role in managing both life-threatening and routine emergencies in the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse
  • Connect with patients and families during triage, determine initial management, and assign care priority.
  • Conduct primary assessment, document deviations from norms, and perform secondary assessments using various sources.
  • Encourage and build trust among team members, delegate tasks appropriately, and ensure compliance with infection prevention strategies.
  • Prepare patients and families for diagnostic procedures, make referrals for post-emergency care, and assess learning styles for effective instruction.
  • Maintain awareness of patients' conditions, keep them informed, and update communication boards during ED visits.

Requirements of the Emergency Department Registered Nurse
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
  • Two years acute hospital experience as a Registered Nurse
  • One year of Emergency Department hospital experience as a Registered Nurse
