Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stress Testing Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: Wisconsin or Compact License required during compliance Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Epic charting system experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred - Ability to activate emergency services and rapid response/code teams - Proficient in administering conscious sedation and airway management - Skilled in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them Description: Responsible for outpatient and inpatient cardiac stress testing. Perform stress echocardiograms and dobutamine stress echocardiograms. Conduct nuclear stress testing and tilt table testing. Assist with the pacemaker clinic as needed. Engage in the management of dysrhythmias during procedures. Monitor patients and interpret test results. Provide discharge instructions to patients. Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and use of PPE. Utilize ergometry protocols, including treadmill and bicycle assessments. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Manage patient care for adults, maintaining high standards of practice. Participate in follow-up phone calls to patients after procedures. Demonstrate excellent communication and patient management skills. Adhere to all facility regulations and standards. Maintain certification requirements and complete necessary training.
