Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse Iowa. This position involves providing emergency nursing care in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department environment. The role requires adherence to facility policies and swift clinical decision-making to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Iowa or multistate (compact) nursing license; 24 months of recent emergency department (ED) / emergency room (ER) / Emergency Department experience; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from the American Heart Association; NIH Stroke Scale certification; TNCC or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification; experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and heparin titration; ability to perform telemedicine measurements/readings; EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience highly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC EMR; prior tele-measure/read experience; trauma nursing core competency certification.
  • Additional Information: Orientation is scheduled for 08/17, 08/24, 08/31, and 09/08. The unit has 16 beds with patient-to-staff ratios of 3:1. Scrubs are solid grey. The position requires working 1-2 of the upcoming three summer holidays unless the unit is closed.
  • Submission must include current employment history demonstrating 24 months of recent ER experience, professional references from within the last 24 months, and drivers license documentation.
