Travel Pay Rate: $2416 weekly ($32.5/hr w2 + $1246/week Stipend)

Local Pay Rate: $60/Hr on w2

Job Description:
Seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide care for patients of all ages presenting with a wide variety of medical and traumatic emergencies. The nurse will perform rapid assessments, stabilize critically ill or injured patients, administer emergency treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced emergency department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, triage, and treat emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Administer medications, blood products, IV vasopressors, and continuous IV sedation.
  • Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and manage central lines.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ABGs, and respond to emergencies.
  • Care for patients with stroke (CVA), orthopedic trauma, head injuries, near drowning, and other emergency conditions.
  • Perform procedural sedation monitoring and maintain isolation precautions.
  • Document patient care in Meditech and utilize Pyxis and Vocera systems.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services.

Requirements:

  • Illinois state RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience.
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
  • NIHSS and TNCC preferred.
  • Experience caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients.
  • Proficiency with: IV starts and phlebotomy, Blood product administration, Central line care, Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, Procedural sedation, Dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ABG interpretation, Isolation precautions
