Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Iron Mountain, Michigan.

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable start times of 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement (Saturday and Sunday)
• Holiday requirements of at least 2-3 shifts for winter needs, otherwise typically every other holiday during the contract
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 during the day, with higher ratios at night after 11:00 PM; after 3:00 AM only 2 RNs until 7:00 AM
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
• Michigan nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Trauma Level IV facility with no stroke or STEMI receiving capabilities; those patients are transferred out
• 14 beds and 2 trauma bays with a Fast Track area consisting of 3 designated rooms
• 2 triage rooms available; travelers may triage after review and understanding of facility policies and procedures
• Common patient diagnoses include traumas, STEMIs, strokes, hunting injuries, MVAs, and farming-related injuries
• Average of 40-60 patients treated per day
• ED Physician available 24/7 in-house along with mid-level providers
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs
• 24/7 phlebotomy services available for lab draws
• X-ray available down the hall 24/7 and CT accessible through double doors
• No monitor technicians; RNs are required to read their own strips with central monitoring station support
• Floating to inpatient areas may be required to assist as needed
• Dress code: Any solid color scrubs, clean and professional appearance required
• Orientation includes computer-based training and 2 days of floor orientation with department-specific policy review
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

This acute care facility operates a fully staffed emergency department with 14 beds and 2 trauma bays, providing comprehensive emergency services to the surrounding community. The department features a Fast Track area, dedicated triage rooms, and access to 24/7 respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, and CT imaging services. The facility supports a wide range of emergency cases and maintains 24/7 physician coverage to ensure quality patient care.
