Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will rapidly assess, prioritize, and manage patients with a wide range of medical emergencies, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, supervise support staff, and ensure safe, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and reassessments.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care.
• Provide emergency nursing care for patients with acute and critical conditions.
• Monitor patient response to treatments and document clinical outcomes.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure timely patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and mentor support staff.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Required

• 2+ years of recent acute care Emergency Department (ED) RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current PALS Certification
• Current NIHSS Certification
• Strong emergency assessment, critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience as a preceptor or charge nurse
• Experience caring for high-acuity emergency and trauma patients
• Familiarity with evidence-based emergency nursing practices and quality improvement initiatives
