Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Active Hawaii RN license required by the start date
• ACLS, PALS, TNCC, BLS, and NIHSS required
• Proficiency with IV skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency care environment
• Experience with Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations
• Knowledge of core measures and National Patient Safety Goals
• Familiarity with AIDET and patient-centered service expectations
• NRP preferred; NCI and Procedural Sedation are requested but not mandatory
• Must be able to arrive in time for pre-start employee health requirements

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute conditions
• Respond efficiently to changing priorities and manage multiple patients safely and effectively
• Support Stroke, STEMI, and Trauma activations as part of the Emergency Department team
• Perform and maintain strong IV access skills and assist with common emergency department procedures
• Utilize Meditech EMR and department equipment including LifePak defibrillators, Braun IV pumps, Philips monitoring systems, and Motorola radio systems
• Collaborate with nursing administration and float only to units within clinical scope and ability
• Promote a positive patient experience while upholding safety standards and best practices
