Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Springfield, Missouri. This position involves providing high-quality care in a busy urban trauma center within a Level 1 trauma and burn facility. The role requires working evening shifts and delivering patient-centered care across all age groups, with a focus on trauma, stroke, STEMI, and burn cases.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Evenings, 1500-0300, with minimum hours per week of 36.
  • Required Qualifications: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or licensed in Missouri), BLS, ACLS, PALS from AHA, and NIHSS certifications (must obtain prior to start).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Trauma and pediatric experience, high patient volume (200+ patients/day), high acuity care.
  • Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborates with ancillary departments to optimize care and maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Demonstrated clinical expertise and strong communication skills are required.
  • Physical and working conditions include standing and walking most of the time, lifting and pushing patients and equipment up to 50 lbs., and working in a clean, air-conditioned environment.
