Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing high-acuity emergency care in a Level II Trauma Center with a focus on adult patient populations. The role requires flexibility to float between units, including Emergency Department holding, and participation in on-call shifts as needed.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: The shift hours are rotating, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, typically involving 12-hour shifts.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid Washington (WA) or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of submission; 2 years of previous emergency room experience; certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Level I Trauma Centers; familiarity with Epic charting system; community hospital experience; trauma level II experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between units, including Emergency Department holding areas.
  • Additional Information: This high-acuity adult Emergency Department manages approximately 175 patient visits per day across 50 rooms and beds. The facility is a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke care, with extensive interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, and rapid response teams. Clinicians will be responsible for managing STEMI care, stroke care, trauma care, and utilization of Level I Rapid Infuser, Zoll defibrillators, Phillips defibrillators, and Phillips monitors.
