Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized emergency care across multiple campuses, including behavioral health, pediatrics, and adult patients. The nurse will be expected to float across all campuses, adhere to unit protocols, and participate in holiday coverage as required.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC / trauma nursing core course (required)
- Education/Experience: 36 months of current emergency department or emergency room experience required; 36 months preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Active Iowa license or multistate license required; drivers license required
- Skills: Experience caring for pediatric, adult, and behavioral health patients; reading, measuring, and interpreting tele strips; experience with drips including sedations and vasoactive medications; EMR experience highly preferred
- Additional Requirements: Resume with 36 months current ER experience required; skills checklist specific to emergency nursing required; ready to start on 08/17/2026
- Floating: Will be required to float across all campuses, including Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Iowa Lutheran Hospital
