Job Summary: The Registered Nurse Dialysis is responsible for providing comprehensive care to dialysis patients, including admission and ongoing assessments, developing care plans, implementing nursing actions, and monitoring dialysis therapy. The RN will adhere to infection control policies, contribute to patient education, and demonstrate professional communication and problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure with the applicable State Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum of 12 months of nursing care experience.
  • At least 3 months of experience providing nursing care to maintenance hemodialysis patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to observe and assess patients, keeping age-specific needs in mind.
  • Experience responding effectively in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in blood-drawing procedures and dialysis therapy monitoring.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement.

Additional Information:

  • Must pass a color vision test and respond to audible alarms.
  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and pushing patients, and handling dialysate solution containers.
  • May be exposed to hazardous wastes and materials.
