Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Dialysis Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months recent dialysis experience License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license required Certifications: American Red Cross BLS & ACLS required Must-Have: Minimum of 18 months permanent dialysis experience prior to travel. One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for submission. Description: All requirements listed in the job description are non-negotiable and no exceptions will be made. This position involves three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM. On-call rotation and every other weekend are required. We provide in-center hemodialysis services for stable patients as well as bedside hemodialysis for ICU patients who cannot travel. We also connect and disconnect patients from their peritoneal dialysis treatment. We do not provide continuous renal replacement therapy. The main machines used for in-center hemodialysis are Fresenius machines, and a full orientation will be provided. Experience with portable machines or specific types of machines is not required. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free requirements temporarily; however, other travelers must be nicotine-free. References must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Required certifications must be current and active with nothing pending. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be completed during orientation, and acceptable scores are required. Travelers will have two attempts maximum to pass the assessments. Background checks of any kind are reviewed by the facility, but travelers with open cases will not be accepted. The facility will not accept any license violations. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required. Modules are required before starting and annually, and the time needed varies by specialty. All modules completed pre-start and annually must be recorded.
