Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity surgical team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting cardiac, open-heart, vascular, and endovascular procedures and be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating roles within the operating room.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in South Carolina or a recognized NCSBN Compact State (candidate must not be a permanent resident of South Carolina if utilizing a compact license)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Ability to both scrub and circulate in the operating room
- Recent experience in:
- Cardiac Surgery
- Open Heart Procedures
- Vascular Surgery
- Endovascular Procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior CVOR experience in a high-volume surgical environment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and vascular surgical patients
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during complex procedures
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to sterile techniques
- Monitor patient status throughout surgical interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
