Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (5:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Nursing License required Certifications: Relevant certifications preferred Must-Have: Ability to climb stairs frequently Description: Work schedule is Wednesday through Saturday. Days off are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The facility serves a specific population. The role requires frequent stair climbing and descending across two floors. Responsibilities include making rounds, evaluating care needs, and rendering direct nursing care. Develop care plans and teach healthcare principles. Administer medications, including narcotics, and render all necessary nursing care. Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, and oxygen therapy. Conduct blood transfusions, incubation, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy duties. Organize and oversee code blue teams and direct healthcare staff assigned to the area. Act as the lead worker in charge of one assigned shift in the absence of supervisory staff. Assist physicians in diagnostic health evaluations. Perform clerical tasks, including charting and recording medications and treatments. Complete required incident and accident reports and document relevant medical information. Order supplies and equipment while maintaining an accurate inventory of controlled substances. Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and coordinate medical examinations. Facilitate new and refill prescriptions ordered by physicians through local pharmacies. Execute administrative tasks and serve as a liaison within the organization. Conduct and/or attend meetings as necessary. Occasionally serve as an instructor. Participate as a member or leader of problem-solving teams or groups.
