Job Title: RN Unit Manager, General Practice Profession: Nursing Specialty: RN Unit Manager, General Practice Duration: 26 weeks Shift: To be discussed with manager; M-F 8-5 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management experience with three years of clinical nursing experience preferred. License: Must be licensed in good standing as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Certifications: Current BLS. Must-Have: Must have completed a program of education in nursing from an NLN approved institution. BSN required, MSN or Master’s degree in a healthcare related field preferred. Knowledge of regulatory agency standards related to healthcare organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge required with the ability to manage care across the continuum of care. Must be flexible with work schedule and possess the ability for independent actions within prescribed limits. All travelers are required to show proof of completed COVID vaccinations. Description: Manages the daily operations of the Sub-Regional Clinic to facilitate coordinated patient flow and care through the clinic and other providers, assuring current and accurate medical records. Provides information needed to optimize reimbursement for clinic services. Furnishes documentation needed by management to effectively run the clinic. Acts as a liaison between departments and the Sub-Regional Clinic. Responsible for staffing positions. Must pass and maintain competencies for this position. Knowledge of office machines and computers that are typically found in a Medical Outpatient Clinic nursing environment is required.
