Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Coronary Care Unit implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are evidence-based and aligned with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Responsibilities include coordinating and providing direct patient care, conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments, facilitating admissions, transfers, and discharges, educating patients and families, and developing individualized treatment plans. The RN actively participates in quality improvement activities and promotes a positive, healing environment through collaboration and professional excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • BLS, ACLS certification.
  • Proficiency in administering medications, performing medical procedures (e.g., wound care, IV therapy), and utilizing medical equipment and technology.
  • Strong assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and clear explanations to patients and families.
  • Deep understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN degree.

  • ADN or ASN.
