Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Hospice RN to join a compassionate team in Hyannis, MA. This is a travel assignment for those specializing in hospice care, where you will provide skilled nursing support in homes and facilities, ensuring patients' comfort and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities of the Hospice RN
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary patient case conferences as needed.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills for patient assessment and response.
  • Manage time efficiently and prioritize patient needs.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interact compassionately with patients, families, and team members.
  • Notify involved care providers of significant patient condition changes.
  • Complete timely admission and other paperwork.
  • Record clear and concise narrative documentation.
  • Obtain and clarify valid MD orders for delivered care.
  • Complete admission paperwork promptly, following regulations.
  • Implement care plans under physician direction, ensuring regulation compliance.
  • Supervise Hospice Aides every 14 days as per regulations.
  • Mentor new staff during orientation, as requested.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements of the Hospice RN
  • Successful passage of VNA pre-hire medication test
  • Current RN license in Massachusetts
  • One year of nursing experience or six months with a BSN
  • Preferred: Hospice Home Care experience, IV Certification, Computer skills, BSN
