Job Title: Case Manager Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 year of previous charge experience required. License: Valid state nursing license required in hand when applying. Certifications: All required certifications must be in hand when applying. Must-Have: - CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required in hand when applying. - EPIC experience must be noted in work history. - Two supervisor references required when applying. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Case Management. The role requires case management responsibilities that include care coordination and discharge planning. Previous experience working with admission criteria and knowledge of CMS guidelines is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and DRG (Diagnosis Related Groups) is crucial. The role involves assessing patient needs and obtaining prior authorizations. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred, with weekend coverage required every Saturday. No requests for time off will be accommodated during the first two weeks of the assignment. Maximum 7 days of time off is permitted per contract, with all requests submitted and noted. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Return staff must be gone for a minimum of 1 year to be eligible to return as a traveler. The manager may or may not conduct an interview for candidates. Candidates may have questions regarding the application process. All modules must be completed during orientation or at home post-start and will vary in hours by specialty.
