Job Title: RN Utilization Specialist Profession: RN Utilization Specialist Specialty: L1RN: Utilization Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: - Minimum of five years recent RN experience - Previous Case Management or Utilization Management experience required - Experience with conducting 30 or more reviews a day - Prior experience with screening criteria including Cerner, InterQual, and MCG is required License: - Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing Certifications: - ACM/CCM Certification is highly desired Must-Have: - Excellent critical thinking and communication skills - Strong computer skills Description: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A BSN graduate is preferred. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week. The shift is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including every third weekend. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of recent experience in clinical nursing or a related nursing field, such as Utilization Review or Case Management. Previous experience in Care Management, Case Management, or Utilization Management is essential. Experience with specific screening criteria, namely Cerner, InterQual, and MCG, is mandatory. Candidates should possess excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Strong computer skills are also a prerequisite for this role.
