Job Title: Case Manager Profession: RN Specialty: Case Management Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Case Management experience Experience with Midas and InterQual Description: Typical census is 180-230 patients including Women and Children's Health. Currently, there are 6 Case Managers on the team. There is 1 Case Manager weekend option for Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 7 PM. There are 4-5 Case Managers scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Patient ratios are approximately 1:40 during weekdays. Equipment used includes laptops and cell phones. The electronic medical records system in use is MediTech and Midas. Most recruited candidates should have Case Management experience and knowledge of area resources. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. The typical procedures performed on the unit include interviewing patients and families face-to-face. Daily multi-disciplinary rounds (MDRs) occur on each unit. InterQual reviews are done on every patient, along with observation reviews and discharge planning evaluations. The best personality fit for this role is someone who gets along with everyone and is not shy or timid. Floating area includes the entire facility. The dress code requires Caribbean Blue scrubs and a white jacket. Rotating weekends are required, specifically Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. No call is required for this position.
