Job Title: Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Proficient in scrubbing cardiac cases requiring bypass and related procedures in the mediastinum. Experience with thoracic surgery cases, including da Vinci assisted procedures. Knowledge of open thoracotomy and VATS procedures. Ability to initiate ECMO and perform pericardial window. Willingness to take call when assigned. Experience with a variety of cardiac cases, including CABG, valve replacement, and repair of aortic dissections. Familiarity with TAVR and thoracic surgery procedures, including da Vinci assisted lobectomy and wedge resections. Ability to perform mediastinal lymph node biopsy and ECMO. Description: The position involves working in a dynamic surgical environment. An RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The candidate will work collaboratively with a surgical team to ensure quality patient outcomes. Strong technical skills in cardiovascular surgery are required. The RN will be responsible for maintaining a sterile field during procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to respond to rapidly changing situations are essential.
