Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-17:00 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Thoracic and Vascular experience, including heart and valve replacements - Strong skills in Cardiac procedures Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. Applicants need thoracic and vascular experience, including heart and valve replacements. Unit has 17 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1. Staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST per room, turnover staff, and 1 charge RN. Anesthesia coverage is 4:1. In-house night shift available. Type of equipment includes XI Robot, advanced spine, and Mako joint robot. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling requirements include 3 call shifts (12-hour) per 4 weeks. Days and nights available for scheduling. Floating policy does not require floating. Requested Skill Set: Circulating RN in general OR including orthopedic, neuro, plastics, vascular, trauma, and robotic OBGYN and urology cases. Must possess advanced knowledge of general circulating practices including positioning, prepping, and facilitating cases mentioned in surgical areas. Procedures performed in the unit include general, trauma, orthopedic, urology, GYN, plastics, neuro, and cardio/thoracic.
