Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Perform scrub and/or circulating roles during CVOR cases
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes throughout the operative experience
- Accurately document patient care activities and clinical findings using Cerner electronic health records
- Adhere to facility protocols, sterile technique standards, and infection control guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
- Proficiency with Cerner charting system
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity environment with CVICU, SICU, or MICU patient populations
- Familiarity with cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Strong ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical environment
