Travel Nurse RN - Cardiovascular Operating Room in Jersey City, NJ

Key Responsibilities Circulate in cardiovascular operating room cases, primarily adult open heart surgery and general surgical cases. Support additional OR service lines including orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neurosurgical cases as needed.

Contract | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Mixed schedule including 8-hour and 12-hour day shifts | Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required | On-call twice per week and every third weekend | Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays per unit requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in cardiovascular operating room cases, primarily adult open heart surgery and general surgical cases
• Support additional OR service lines including orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neurosurgical cases as needed
• Adhere to unit float requirements within scope of skillset based on census and patient acuity
• Complete charting and documentation accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Fulfill on-call obligations as scheduled, including weekday and weekend on-call shifts
• Make up any missed shifts within the same pay period per facility attendance policy

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of current acute care operating room experience required
• Must be able to circulate in the OR
• Experience in Main OR, orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neurosurgical cases required
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• Scrub and Circulate skills checklist and work history required upon submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience in the OR is preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior experience with EPIC charting system preferred
