    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 4x10-hour shifts (0700–1700 or 0900–1900) | 13-Week Assignment | Call Required, Including Weekend Call

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as Circulating Nurse, managing overall nursing care in the operating room and maintaining a safe, sterile environment throughout cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical procedures
    • Support scrub roles including preparation of the sterile field, surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions; passing instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgical team as needed
    • Provide direct 1:1 patient care for a primary population undergoing cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, LVAD placement, open endovascular repair, VATS, and robotic procedures
    • Perform sponge and supply counts in collaboration with the Scrub Technologist to prevent retained foreign objects
    • Manage and maintain the sterile field and surgical specimens throughout procedures
    • Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend call coverage across 7 CVOR suites
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – North Carolina or Compact state license required
    • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Prior CVOR experience with demonstrated ability to circulate in cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases
    • Ability to fulfill on-call and weekend call requirements
    • Must meet facility radius compliance requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with minimally invasive and robotic surgical procedures including robotic valve repair and VATS
    • Familiarity with transcatheter procedures such as TAVR and carotid stenting
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a CVOR setting
